At Valley High School, the future begins with opportunity and choice. Our Falcons engage in rigorous academics, Advanced Placement, and college readiness programs designed to open doors to higher education. Through our career pathways, students gain hands-on, real-world experiences that prepare them for success beyond high school. With opportunities in athletics, the arts, leadership, and community partnerships, Valley High School empowers every student to soar, ready for college, career, and life.
Early College
High school students can take college courses and earn credit toward their degree while still enrolled in SAUSD.
Early Childhood Education
Programs are available for children as young as age 2, providing a strong start for lifelong learning.
SAUSD Arts
Students explore creativity through music, dance, theater, and visual arts programs that enrich learning and expression across all grade levels.
STEAM Education
Students engage in hands-on learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math to build creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
21st Century Career Academies
Real-world experience comes to life through themed academies that connect classroom learning with career pathways in health care, business, engineering, and other in-demand fields.
Dual Language Immersion
Bilingualism and biliteracy are nurtured through programs that develop proficiency in English and a partner language while fostering cultural understanding.

SAUSD Honors January 2026 Employees of the Month
The Certificated Employee of the Month is Jose L. Tapia, Teacher at Lathrop Intermediate School. The Classified Employee of the Month is Blanca Mendez, Nutrition Services Assistant at Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School.

SAUSD Welcomes 2025–26 Student Board Members
SAUSD is proud to welcome Yaiza Gomez of Middle College High School and Eduardo Abascal of Saddleback High School as the District’s 2025–26 Student Board Members. During their first Board of Trustees meeting on January 27, 2026, both students began representing the voices of their peers and strengthening the connection between the Board of Education and student communities. Their leadership will help elevate student perspectives and support positive outcomes for all scholars.
